1. Learner’s Permit:

Student drivers of any age are required to hold a valid PA learner’s permit, which must be presented at every lesson. Copies of the original permit cannot be accepted per the PA Department of Transportation. The instructor must refuse to allow the student to drive without the proper permit. Should this happen the student is obligated to pay a cancellation fee of $50.00.

2. Payment Policy:

At registration the full/half balance is due, unless other arrangements are made. Payment can be made by cash, check, Venmo, or credit card. Checks offered for payment that are refused by the bank are subject to a $35 charge. Delinquent accounts will be suspended pending payment and scheduled lessons will be cancelled. If you pay by credit card there is a 3.5% convenience fee attached to all transactions. If you would prefer to pay by cash or check please visit our office at 634 E. 3. Registration Fee:

There is a $100.00 non-refundable registration fee included in the price of our Silver and Gold packages.

4. Refund of any DTS Service:

There is a 30 day monetary return policy. A refund will be honored only within 30 days of initial payment minus the $100.00 registration fee. All services expire one year from the date of purchase. 

5. Cancellation Policy for Behind the Wheel Lessons:

24-hour notice is required for cancelling or rescheduling a lesson. Should the customer cancel a lesson within this 24-hour period or if the student is either unavailable, unfit or without permit, a charge for that lesson will be applied to the account in the amount $50.00.

6. Cancellation Policy for Testing:

Rescheduling or cancelling a test within two business days of the appointment will result in a $45.00 cancellation fee which will be due prior to administering a test. 

7. Unfavorable Conditions:

DTS reserves the right to cancel a scheduled appointment in the event of weather related issues, hazardous conditions, or in the event that the instructor deems the student unfit to safely execute driving maneuvers.

8. Certificates: 

We will only issue certificates for students who have completed 6 hours of lessons. This is regulated by the state of PA. Our test preps and road readiness services do not qualify for a certificate.

9. Testing:

DTS, as a third-party tester, charges a fee for testing whether the client is a DTS student or not. The fee for testing is non-refundable pass or fail and must be paid in full when the test is scheduled either by cash, check or credit card.
