Help make tomorrow’s roads safer by helping researchers today!
Driver Training Services actively supports cutting-edge research that leads to new products and/or services that can help people drive more safely. We are an active partner with The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institutes, and will often help them find participants for their studies. Current opportunities are listed below.
The Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP) is a comprehensive pediatric trauma research facility at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia dedicated to addressing injury, the leading cause of death for children and adolescents.
TEEN DRIVING STUDY
CIRP is currently seeking research participants for a new study of teen drivers. They’re looking for 16-17 year-olds who have had a PA driver’s license less than 90 days. The study would consist of simulator drives and a few surveys, would take about three hours of your time, and is compensated. Scheduling is available day or evening hours. For more information, download the study flyer (PDF format) or call CIRP at (888) 535-2477.
They are also seeking a limited number of adult drivers as a control group. Adult drivers must have a clean driving record of at least ten years without accidents or violations, and must drive approximately 100 miles per week.
The Center for Autism Research (CAR) is a multi-faceted center that coordinates and supports research on autism spectrum disorders (ASD) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Eligibility for participation in their research studies is evaluated by their online directory autismMatch. To help, sign up for autismMatch today.
